Job Description Vineuve is made up of a creative, high-energy construction team that provides residential and commercial concrete construction and framing services. If you work with us you can expect a fun, social, and a highly efficient work environment while helping to build awesome structures, mostly outdoors, for great clients. You will be learning under the supervision of two qualified journey-person carpenters who are eager to help you develop equal parts skill and autonomy in the trade. Job Responsibilities: - Assist the carpenter during wooden construction, maintenance, and repair work - Handle the carpentry tools and use them appropriately where required - Work as per direction of the carpenter to meet stipulated deadlines - Interact with clients to thoroughly understand and meet client needs - Understand design layouts and blueprints, and strictly follow design plans - Clean and systematically arrange equipment in the working area - Maintain daily progress reports and necessary information in work registers - Maintain and operate tools and machinery - Remove debris from the construction site - Provide required tools and other materials to the carpenters - Demonstrate safe work habits and knowledge of safety rules and instructions while performing job functions - Maintain company standards, policies, and ethics Job Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age Must have valid driver's license Ability to work outdoors in all weather Must be punctual and reliable Must be able to work with residents, and staff of diverse backgrounds Ability to perform constant physical labour, operate tools and machinery, and lift at least 50 lbs Be able to work effectively in both individual and group settings
